America Online users can NOT use this chatroom with
AOL's integrated web brower. To use this chatroom, you must MINIMIZE your AOL software
and load either Internet Explorer or Netscape from your computer. Once you have your
browser loaded, just come back to http://www.alphagam.net/chat/ and sign in.
Earlier versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer (MSIE) and AOL's old web
browser seem to have a scrolling problem, where the last
line that was written to the screen isn't seen. It will be seen once the next
line is written, however. So if you join the chatroom and notice that someone
else is there, but you don't see the person talking, try saying "Hi" or
something - you may see their greeting scroll up once another line is on
the screen. :)
Also, the scrollbar for the chat window on MSIE has a tendency to not keep
up with the text on the screen. So, if it looks like there are people
in the chatroom, but you don't see anyone talking, try adjusting the
scrollbar in the chat window (the middle frame). The scrollbar should
always be pulled as far down as possible.
