What is the Alpha Gamma Delta Cyber Circle?
The Alpha Gamma Delta Cyber Circle is a ring of Alpha Gamma Delta collegiate, alumnae and
Junior Circle websites, plus a few special resource sites. It was formerly called the
Alpha Gamma Delta WebRing.
What is a webring?
A webring is a collection of related websites linked together. You can follow
the ring from site to site and eventually end up back where you started. A company
called WebRing, now owned by Yahoo, created the concept of webrings quite a few years
ago. There are many companies that now provide ring services similar to the original
WebRing. AlphaGam.Net has chosen to switch to a free CGI script that allows us to maintain
our ring directly from our own server instead of relying on another company to provide
it for us.
Who can join the Alpha Gamma Delta Cyber Circle?
The Alpha Gamma Delta Cyber Circle is currently open to Alpha Gamma
Delta collegiate chapter sites, alumnae chapter/club sites, Junior Circle
sites and special resource sites. Personal websites are not appropriate for this ring.
What are the benefits of joining the Alpha Gamma Delta Cyber Circle?
There are several benefits:
- Visitors to an Alpha Gam chapter website can find other Alpha Gam chapter websites easier
- More convenient than each chapter maintaining their own list of links to other chapters
(though you are certainly welcome to do so)
- More publicity for your chapter's website
What else do I need to know?
All Cyber Circle site maintainers will be added to the AGD Webmasters mailing list.
This list is used for Alpha Gam site maintainers to share ideas, help each other out,
make announcements about Alpha Gam sites and just keep on top of what other chapters and
clubs are doing with their websites.
I'm interested! How do I add my chapter's site to the Cyber Circle?
Visit the Cyber Circle registration page. Please fill out all
requested information - all of it is necessary for your site to be in the ring. Once you
fill out this form, we will be notified that you have submitted your information. We need
to approve your site to join the ring before you are actually added. You will also be
given additional instructions after you submit your information.
NOTE:
Submitting the site here does NOT automatically put your chapter's site in the ring.
Some HTML code will need to be added to your site first, then we will check the code
and approve the site to be added to the ring. So you should only submit your site
here if you have access to edit your chapter's webpages to add this HTML code. In
general, only the chapter webmaster should submit your chapter's site.
How can I edit my site's information?
If you made a mistake when submitting your site, or if any of your submitted
information has changed since you submitted your site, you can easily make changes.
Visit the Cyber Circle Site
Administration page and log in using your Site ID and password.

If you need the code for your site again, you can either get it from the "Get code"
page in Site Administration,
or you can get it by filling out this simple form (which will bring you directly
to the "Get Code" page in Site Administration):
