we'll host monthly chats on specific topics. These will be held during the
first Wednesday chat session of each month, at 9pm Eastern (10pm Atlantic,
8pm Central, 7pm Mountain, 6pm Pacific, 4pm Hawaii).

Kappa Gamma Chapter
We have been very busy on and off campus promoting various events.
We have just finished our annual Teeter-Totter-a-Thon in
which we teeter-totter for 24 hours. It was a very successful
philanthropy event both financially and for our sisterhood. We were
able to get to know some of the new members better. The chapter was
very enthusiastic about the event and so was the community. We
appeared on the news and in the paper. Our philanthropy efforts have
been very successful this year and we are of course very proud.
In the middle of February, Homecoming activities were held and
the Alpha Gams jumped right in the contests sponsored by the school.
We won first place in a contest for building decorations and
second place in a banner contest. To top it all off, one of
our sisters, Andria Peidra, won Homecoming Queen. This was the
second time that the school has held a Homecoming and both times an
Alpha Gam was named queen. Congratulations Andria!
So all in all, things are going great for our chapter.
We will be initiating three wonderful girls after Spring Break
and going to San Antonio to visit the alumnae. Unfortunately, at the
end of the semester we will be graduating four sisters, two of
which were charter members. Erin Valdez and Andria Peidra
are wonderful women with a bright future and we wish them the best of
luck. Carolyn Wells is a charter member and has been a wall of
stability for the chapter that can not be matched. Last, but not least,
Mariah Yardley is also a charter member, a great leader for this
chapter as President and a role model since her birth into its sisterhood.
Congratulations, Mariah, on being named the Most Outstanding Graduating
Senior -- you definitely deserve the title. Congratulations ladies!
You will be missed.
