world what your campus and Alpha Gamma Delta have to offer to new members who are
interested in developing the bonds of friendship and sisterhood. Remember that
websites are a public place no different than a billboard at the side of the
highway: anyone who surfs by can see what you are presenting. For this reason,
it is crucial that your Alpha Gamma Delta website is an appropriate public
representation of your chapter and of your Fraternity.

Your website as a tool for recruitment.
Not surprisingly, your Alpha Gamma Delta website will be a useful place for potential
new members to learn about your chapter and your members. In fact, women interested
in Rushing often do web searches for the GLOs on their campus before Rush begins.
Chantal and Elise have met many potential new members through email, online chat in
the alphagam.net Chat room and by signed guestbooks!
Keep in touch with Alumnae!
The Zeta Chi website is an example of one which is designed to keep in touch with
alumnae. There is a large Alumnae section but also an update area to read up on the
successes of Zeta Chis who have left UWO campus. Likewise, you can use your chapter's
website to keep alumnae updated on the events and happenings of your chapter. Email
links to alumnae by New Member Class provides alum with a forum to keep in touch with
one another. Online Lost Sisters lists helps the chapter to get in touch with members
who might have moved away without updating their address with the permanent secretary.
Your chapter's website can also publish an online version of the Alumnae newsletter
normally distributed by your Alumnae Chapter or Club. Keep the potential benefits
of long lasting friendship and sisterhood in mind when you are designing your website.
